Pelican Lake pictures. We stayed at Grey Wolf Lodge (Same as last year). We also hiked at the Vermilion Gorge and Vermilion Falls while we were there. The bear pictures are from the Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary which was only a few miles from our camp.

Here are the pictures from the Pelican Lake trip Cody, Kyle, Justin and myself took July 12-18th. We stayed at the Grey Wolf Lodge. The bear pictures are from the Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary which was only a few miles from our camp.

Tornado pictures from Parkersburg, May 25th, 2008. Mom took these:

"These are what we saw as we sat along the road. In the second one, you can see the "nose" of the police car right ahead of us - also watching the monster tornado. The picture doesn't do it justice. It was truly amazing! Picture 1727 is our attorney's office, 1733 is stuff in a tree (you'll notice there is some kind of a cart way up high), and 1744 is a hillside in one of the housing area's. Picture 1766 is what used to be Genevieve Boelman's house (she lives at the Western home now), 1768 is Sinclair Elevator from Hwy 57 - looks different doesn't it? And 1722 is the view coming from the north.

Pictures from the AAAA annual convention in Washington DC. This was held at the brand new Gaylord National Convention Center. The hotel was only open 1 week, and most of the rooms had not been slept in, and some were still being built. The first night of the convention nearly 60 people got food poisoning. I however, did not eat any of the food.

Sept 2nd we drove to McGregor, went to some stores. Also went to Marquette and went to the flea market.
Then we drove across the river to Prarie du Chien to get some cheese and go to Cabelas.

We went camping at Okoboji's Gull Point State park on August 15. We were joined by Randy, Gwen and Elliot.
We had one nice day of weather for the drive up and setting up camp. On Wed, we took the boat and Randy's jet
ski out and had some fun on the lake. About 3pm that day, it started to rain and did not stop until about 9pm.
We went into town and ate, then came back to a wet campground. Thursday's weather report was for more of the same,
so we decided to pack it up and go home a day early.
